As Yan Couto’s future at Manchester City continues to be uncertain, it seems there could be an interesting option for the fullback this summer.
According to Tuttosport, as Juventus look for a new right-back, they now target the 22-year-old.
The Bianconeri currently have Danilo as their number one and their captain. Now they could bring in Couto, who’s his reserve at the national team for the Copa América.
Couto spent the last season on loan at Girona, and even though he’s returning to Manchester City, there’s no guarantee that Pep Guardiola will give him any chances.
Tuttosport says the price for his transfer would be around €25m, but Juventus’ idea would actually be to sign him on a loan deal.
Manchester City signed Couto in a €6m deal from Coritiba back in 2020, and only loaned him out so far.
In recent interviews with the Brazilian media, the player claimed he doesn’t know what is happening to him this summer. Now with a big club like Juventus wanting to sign him, perhaps that’s a great alternative for all involved.
