Hurriyet have today claimed Trabzonspor are looking to offload players to Goztepe as they hope to get a deal done for Southampton forward Paul Onuachu.
The 30-year-old has been linked with a return to Trabzonspor after his loan spell with the Turkish side last season.
According to Hurriyet, Trabzonspor are looking to take advantage of Sports Republic being the majoirty shareholders of both Southampton and Goztepe.
It’s clamed Trabzonspor want to give Goztepe two players in order to get another loan deal for Onuachu. Goztepe have just been promoted to the Super Lig and will be looking to strengthen their squad this summer.
As previously reported any deal would involve an option to redeem the Southampton player.
Earlier this week we covered reports from Turkey that Trabzonspor have offered the Saints €2.5m to loan the Nigeria international for another season, with an option to purchase him next summer. Onuachu is said to be keen on a move back to the Trabzon club.
Onuachu made 25 appearances last season for the Super Lig side, scoring 17 goals. He’s contracted to Southampton until June 2025.
