Aspor have claimed Galatasaray are interested in signing Arsenal midfielder Thomas Partey ahead of the summer transfer window.

The Ghana international has struggled to get games with the Premier League side this season and the Gunners may also be looking to move him on this summer due to his contract situation.

According to Aspor, Galatasaray are looking to build an ambitious squad with Champions League football in their sights. The Arsenal player is said to be a target for the Super Lig side, and they are hoping they can land him for a ‘reasonable fee’.

Despite closing in on the Super Lig title some players may be offloaded at the end of the season as they look to raise funds for new recruits. The likes of Wilfried Zaha and Davinson Sanchez are expected to leave this summer, and this could help them financially in their pursuit of Partey.

Partey’s season has been blighted by injury, but even since his return at the beginning of March he’s struggled to get minutes. With Declan Rice and Jorginho ahead of him the pecking order he may need to find a new club.
