Somehow, Ezequiel Schelotto is still at Brighton & Hove Albion and getting used very sporadically by Graham Potter.
Completely ignored by Chris Hughton last season and loaned to Chievo in Serie B, the right-back returned hoping for some game time under the new manager.
He’s got some, but it’s still not a lot, totalling just 41 minutes of Premier League football this season, which is why Schelotto is once again in transfer rumours.
This time, it’s a move to Cagliari that’s being mooted, as Blog Cagliari Calcio 1920 (great name for a website) seem to suggest the one time Italy international is a plan B to Alessandro Florenzi.
It’s claimed the player is of interest because of his versatility, capable of playing in defence or further up the pitch if needed, but also due to his price, as he would be a ‘low-cost’ option for them at around €1m in January (since his contract with Brighton expires in the summer).
However, they could face competition from Levante in La Liga, but they don’t provide much more detail about that avenue.
