Belgian side Charleroi are ‘interested’ in taking Brighton and Hove Albion forward Deniz Undav on loan for the remainder of the season.

That’s according to MSV Foot, who say the Belgian club are looking at Undav and another option, Adrien Trebel, to bolster their squad this month.

Undav joined Brighton in the summer after completing a move from their sister club Union SG in January last year.

He arrived following a superb season in Belgium that had seen him score 27 goals and register 13 assists in 41 games in all competitions.

He has barely featured for Brighton this season, though, with just 12 appearances in all competitions so far and 259 minutes in total under Graham Potter and his successor Roberto de Zerbi.

That has led to speculation he could be on the move this month and according to MSV Foot, Charleroi are one of those who ‘interested in taking’ the striker on loan.

They report that they are ‘one of the Belgian clubs’ eyeing a potential move, suggesting there is competition for the German from his former stomping ground.

There is no mention of talks with Brighton or anything of that nature yet, but it seems they are a name to keep an eye on if the Seagulls are willing to let Undav leave before the window closes.
