There’s a claim in the Turkish media Fenerbahce are still looking to sign Everton forward Beto this summer.

There have been recent reports of interes, and it now seems they’ve stepped up their pursuit of the Everton player.

Takvim today report Fenerbahce are in the market for a centre forward after the controversial exit of Michy Batshuayi. The Belgium international recently signed for local rivals Galatasaray after his contract expired.

Subsequently, Takvim say Fenerbahce have intensified their efforts to sign the Everton man and transfer talks are taking place between the two clubs. Sporting director Mario Branco is said to be ‘working hard’, and conducting negotiations with the Premier League side. It’s reported an offer of €20m plus could get a deal over the line.

Beto made 37 appearances for Everton last season, scoring 5 goals. He’s contracted to the club until June 2027.

Whether Everton want to cut their losses this summer is unclear, and perhaps it would be a shame for them to part with Beto after just one campaign.
