Galatasaray have ‘intensified talks’ to sign Fred from Manchester United this summer but want to ‘reduce’ his transfer fee by including bonuses in the deal.
That’s according to NTV Spor, who say the reinforcement work continues at the Turkish club and their efforts are currently focused on Fred.
They want to sign the Brazilian from Manchester United this summer and talks have been underway for several weeks in an attempt to make that happen.
They’ve turned their attention to him after failing to get a deal for Leandro Paredes over the line and talks with those in charge at Old Trafford have now intensified.
The problem is Manchester United’s asking price, which remains locked at €15m despite Fred’s contract being due to expire next summer.
That’s a figure which Galatasaray can’t afford at this moment in time and so they are trying to ‘reduce’ that figure by including various bonuses into the deal.
What those bonuses are isn’t mentioned but deals such as that tend to have at least a Champions League clause included in them, as well as bonuses focused on appearances, goals, assists and other season targets.
We’re sure those details will come out sooner rather than later with the two sides in talks and Galatasaray working to reach an agreement that suits all parties.
