Fenerbahce are working on the signing of Leicester City midfielder Wilfred Ndidi, according to reports from Turkey.

Outlet A Spor today writes that the player has now entered their ‘agenda’, as the Istanbul club ‘intensified their contacts’ to get the Foxes man after they ‘accelerated’ their process to get a new midfielder through the doors.

It’s claimed that Fenerbahce already made ‘attempts’ to get Ndidi from Leicester City, even though there are not any details on how the negotiations have been going.

The player’s contract with the Foxes expires in 2024, and that may have been a factor to attract the interest from the Turkish side.

With so few details for now, it’s just a little hard to understand how strong Fenerbahce’s attempt is, as for how much money they’re putting on the table to convince Leicester City.

Ndidi’s market value has been having a major drop in the past few months, with Transfermarkt now having it at €25m.

Leicester City’s relegation to the Championship certainly didn’t help, and as their squad exodus continues, many European sides continue to look at the club as a big shopping showcase.

Let’s now wait and see the Foxes’ stance on Ndidi’s situation.
