Since he hasn’t played for Nottingham Forest following his loan deal from Rennes in the summer transfer window, it’s only logical that Loïc Badé is sent back to France.

The defender was brought in on loan but ultimately never picked by Steve Cooper, who preferred other options, leading him to accumulate zero minutes of football before the World Cup break.

Part of this, allegedly, was because he would have been unable to play for another team, thus blocking a potential January transfer, which Sevilla are trying to take advantage of.

The Nottingham Forest loanee is a target for them in the upcoming transfer window, and Alejandro Sáez, a Spanish journalist for Estadio Deportivo, claims that following Marcao’s surgery, Monchi ‘will intend to accelerate’ for Loïc Badé.

It’s said there is ‘optimism’ regarding talks with Rennes, with the deal being a loan ‘with a view to buy at €15m’.

First, though, the deal with Nottingham Forest will need to be cancelled, but we can’t see any of the parties really putting up a fight here, meaning this could be smooth sailing.
