Manchester United have put a €40m asking price on Jadon Sancho this summer, something which may have temporarily scared away Juventus from pursuing him.
That’s according to Tuttosport, relayed by Il Bianconero, who report that Manchester United are looking for just under half of the €85m they paid to sign Sancho in 2021.
The forward is returning from a loan spell at Dortmund this summer, having returned to the German club in the January transfer window after a major falling out with Erik ten Hag.
With the Dutchman set to remain in charge at Old Trafford it is widely expected that Sancho will be moved on at some point, although doing so will be no easy feat.
Dortmund are interested in bringing him back, but only at a price that fits into their finances, and they deem acceptable.
Tuttosport now cover that and explain that Manchester United have put a €40m asking price on Sancho this summer if he is to leave. This was made clear to Dortmund after they expressed an interest in signing the forward.
It’s also a figure that would apply to Juventus, who had identified him as an ideal reinforcement for their forward line.
They, however, would only like to loan him and so are now waiting, hoping that nobody else attempts to sign Sancho with a definitive lunge for his signature.
In other words, they won’t spend €40m on him and are hoping nobody else will either so Manchester United get desperate and they can secure the loan move they want.
