Fiorentina are hoping Liverpool will firm up their interest in midfielder Sofyan Amrabat as they look to secure a €35m deal for the Morocco star.
That’s according to Fiorentina.it, who explain that at this moment in time there is a significant difference between supply and demand when it comes to the player.
They explain that there is a current risk that any deal for Amrabat will take a long time, which is frustrating for Fiorentina as they were hoping to sell early this summer.
Amrabat was one of the stars of Morocco’s success at the World Cup and has been heavily linked with a move since but at the moment that is yet to materialise in January or at the beginning of the summer transfer window.
The belief is that there will be buyers at some point but as, yet nobody has made a move, including Liverpool, who are overhauling their midfield.
Fiorentina value their player at €35m, perhaps slightly more including bonuses, but so far, the interested parties have only hinted at a deal worth €25m overall.
The belief is that Liverpool ‘want to test the ground’ for the player in the coming weeks and the belief is that as an affluent Premier League side they could help match Fiorentina’s demands.
That’s yet to happen and Amrabat may need to be convinced on a move to England, but his club are very much hoping Liverpool come in and make a firm bid to take him to Anfield this summer.
