Just about avoiding relegation from La Liga, Deportivo La Coruña are looking around Europe to try and sign players that will help them avoid repeating the same mistakes next season.

Already heavily linked with making last season’s loan of Carles Gil a permanent transfer, it appears the La Liga side could also turn their attention to Watford as they look to bolster their attacking options next season.

According to El Ideal Gallego, Nordin Amrabat has been highlighted by the Spanish club to try and add some energy and directness to their attack, something they were lacking last season, but they know it will be difficult.

The Spanish outlet explain that his current wage is too high for a club like Deportivo, and the competition for his signature would be fierce, with other clubs also asking about him, like Malaga, who could be targeting him to replace Sandro.

However, all hope is not lost, as Deportivo are hoping that their good relationship with Watford (Juanfran) will help to get a deal done if they manage to convince Amrabat that La Coruña is the ideal place to continue his career.

One to keep an eye on.
