On Wednesday, Il Messaggero reported on West Ham’s interest in Lazio’s Taty Castellanos.
The newspaper claimed the Rome club are awaiting an approach from the Hammers, who made an enquiry in the summer.
A move didn’t go through then but West Ham have been pushed forward as a credible destination for the player. Today’s Corriere dello Sport reports further on the Argentine.
They claim Lazio manager Maurizio Sarri is keen on signing Giacomo Raspadori. This would only be possible if Castellanos leaves.
The newspaper claims the striker is ‘attractive’ in the Premier League and is someone who can depart next month.
Unlike what Il Messaggero claimed on Wednesday, Corriere dello Sport believe that €20m could be enough for a sale to West Ham. Lazio can use that money to not just sign Raspadori but also to hand new contracts to some players.
Today’s Il Messaggero also reports on the Hammers.
They indicate that the Roman side are waiting for the London club to make an offer for Castellanos.
€25m to €30m is what they’re hoping for, but considering what Corriere say, the higher amount could be unrealistic.
West Ham will know Lazio’s poor financial situation and can definitely look to exploit that.
