Over the past few weeks, various claims from the Italian sports media have stressed Juventus will face competition from Chelsea to sign Aurélien Tchouaméni.

The midfielder’s form for AS Monaco caught the attention of Real Madrid and on October 12th, when discussing Los Blancos’ interest, Marca explained the Blues and the Serie A side are ‘in the fight’ for his signature.

Juve are keen to acquire the 21-year-old’s services and have made new contacts with his camp, according to Wednesday’s edition of Tuttosport.

It’s claimed the Old Lady could look at the France international as early as January, provided they first make room in the squad by selling one of Aaron Ramsey and Weston McKennie.

Tchouaméni is first on Juve chief Federico Cherubini’s list and the contacts between the two parties continue, despite Monaco’s refusal to let their star leave in the summer.

However, they are not the only club chasing the player as Chelsea, Liverpool and Real Madrid are also interested in him.

The Turin club are aware of the interest shown by Thomas Tuchel’s side and other clubs, but Juventus are hopeful this will not be converted into ‘super offers’.

If Juventus fail to take Tchouaméni, either in January or next summer, they have identified Borussia Dortmund’s Alex Witsel and Borussia Mönchengladbach’s Denis Zakaria as alternatives.
