Fotomac report Besiktas are to respond to Galatasaray’s interest in Ryan Babel by making an offer for Everton attacker Henry Onyekuru.
The Nigerian winger joined Galatasaray on a loan deal at the start of the season and recent reports in the Turkish media suggested he won’t be staying beyond the end of the current campaign.
According to Fotomac, Besiktas officials recently met with Everton and it’s claimed the Toffees will allow Onyekuru to join the Super Lig club on loan next summer.
The Turkish newspaper also report Galatasaray have yet to make any approach to Everton regarding a contract extension.
With Ryan Babel and Ricardo Quaresma expected to leave, Besiktas are looking for younger and cheaper options, so Onyekuru fits their criteria. We’re not entirely sure how he would be much cheaper, because even if he goes out on loan again next season he’s surely going to want a hike in wages some time soon.
There have been reports in the Turkish media claiming Bayern Munich are following the youngster, but there’s been noting concrete in Germany.
The player’s aim has long been to represent Everton in the Premier League, and it seems odd that there’d be talks at this stage about another move next summer.
