Fanatik report Manchester City defender Eliaquim Mangala is waiting for an update from Galatasaray with regards to getting a move to Turkey in this transfer window.

The Frenchman has been linked a move to the Turkish champions in recent weeks.

According to the Turkish newspaper, Galatasaray have other priorities in this window as they are looking to sign a striker before the deadline, but they could still bring in the 27 year old.

Mangala is looing to get a move to Galatasaray, and their manager Fatih Terim is also keen to work with the Manchester City outcast.

Galatasaray have signed Marcao and loaned Semih Kaya this transfer window but Fanatik believes the Super Lig club are still looking to sign another defender, which could mean bringing in Mangala

It’s reported talks between the two sides have been positive, with Galatasaray looking to loan the central defender until the end of the season.

Mangala will be a free agent in the summer when his contract with Manchester City expires.
