Patrick Cutrone’s move to Wolverhampton Wanderers from AC Milan in 2019 hasn’t really gone to plan.

The striker failed to convince Nuno Espírito Santo in the first six months, and hence, he was allowed to join Fiorentina on an 18-month loan deal in the winter 2020 market.

He struggled for regular minutes with La Viola as the 22-year-old has failed to start even one Serie A tie this season. The Italian has been on the pitch for 184 minutes across 11 league appearances.

It’s been repeatedly stated in Italy that Cesare Prandelli’s side will cut short his temporary stay and allow the player to return to the Premier League club in January.

Corriere dello Sport were the latest to discuss Cutrone’s immediate future on Tuesday, but they didn’t provide any information on where he will play in the second half of this season.

TuttoMercatoWeb once again explain the frontman’s days at Fiorentina are numbered, and also mention interest from a potential suitor.

It’s claimed Benevento have shown ‘strong interest’ in the Wolves owned player, who is ‘leaving’ Fiorentina in the upcoming window.

With Cutrone expected to leave La Viola, Wolves will have to find a new club for him in January.
