Everton’s Beto was the subject of a transfer during the winter window.

He was linked with an exit from Goodison Park and there was reported interest from Torino.

The constant insistence from the Italian press was that the Serie A side could not quite meet Everton’s asking price for the striker, who was then struggling to feature in the Toffees’ first-team.

Now, things have changed. Beto has scored four goals in his last three Premier League games. During these three games, Everton have won twice and drew against league leaders Liverpool.

TifoGranata have looked at the 27-year-old’s situation. They state that the failure to sign the Portuguese is a ‘big regret’ for Torino.

The belief is that if Dominic Calvert-Lewin was not injured, Beto would have ended up in Turin and the move would have gone through on deadline day.

The report states that Beto has now been ‘reborn’ under David Moyes, who has taken the Merseyside club up to 14th in the Premier League table.

Torino have won just once in the Serie A since the turn of the year and it is easy to see why there is a regret about the failure to sign Beto.
