Fabio Silva’s Wolves stint is likely to come to an end soon, with Genoa seeing him as a potential replacement for Albert Gudmundsson.
As the Iceland star nears an exit from the Rossoblu, the club want a replacement sorted as quickly as possible and they seem to have done just that.
La Repubblica’s Genoa edition have reported that the Serie A club have ‘already found an agreement’ with Wolves’ Silva and the player is interested in joining the club.
Even though an agreement with Wolves is yet to be reached, things are positive on that front. There is a difference of only €1m between what Wolves want and what Genoa are offering.
The expectation is that the parties will try to iron out a deal in the ‘next few hours’. Things come across as optimistic from the report, and a move is expected.
Genoa want to close the move quickly as the Gudmundsson deal is on hold until they sign Silva, so there’s a rush on from several directions.
