Paris Saint Germain have thrown in the towel in their quest to sign Bernardo Silva from Manchester City, according to claims from France.
Le 10 Sport today write that the Ligue 1 side have ‘failed in all directions for two months’, and are now giving up their pursuit.
It’s recalled that, for a long time, PSG already had an agreement with Bernardo Silva to make the move, and even had the support from his agent Jorge Mendes.
The problem is that despite having ‘multiplied the offensives’ towards Manchester City, the English club haven’t been interested in a deal.
It’s been many times highlighted that PSG tried ‘everything’, making two bids, with their most recent offer being for a €60m move.
Pep Guardiola continued rejecting that scenario, with Manchester City only letting the player go if a ‘fabulous’ €100m offer arrived.
That’s when PSG grew tired of the situation and decided to go for another target. With Barcelona’s Ousmane Dembélé having a €50m release clause, he seemed more like a certain shot, and the French club are now convinced they can complete this deal on Monday.
