AC Milan are ‘getting closer and closer’ to signing Chelsea forward Christian Pulisic as the exodus from Stamford Bridge continues.
That’s according to Calciomercato.it, who say that the impending arrival of Luka Romero at the club could ‘facilitate a rapid closure’ of negotiations on the Pulisic front.
They explain that Milan have relaunched their efforts for the American, increasing their initial offer from €14m, believing that a deal is there to be done between €18-20m.
They’re boosted by the fact that Pulisic ‘strongly wants’ the move to Milan and has given his priority to them by refusing a proposal from Lyon.
It is only Chelsea’s approval that is currently missing but there is ‘confidence’ at Milan that they can find an agreement sooner rather than later with the Blues.
Romero is key as the same agents are handling both negotiations and so their presence in Milan finalising the deal for the Argentine is ‘facilitating the operation’ for Pulisic.
As far as they’re concerned in Italy everything is plain sailing and the proverbial ‘white smoke’ will arrive eventually, with Milan increasingly confident that negotiations with Chelsea can be concluded positively soon.
