There’s a claim in the Turkish media that Trabzonspor and Southampton will have a final meeting with regards to Paul Onuachu.
The Nigeria intentional has been repeatedly linked with a return to the Super Lig side after his loan spell in Turkey last season.
Haber Anlik have reported on the latest developments regarding Onuachu’s future after recent reports Southampton had rejected Trabzonspor’s €7.5m offer.
Trabzonspor are still in the market for a centre forward and along with Onuachu, they’ve been linked with Burnley’s Wout Weghorst.
According to Haber Anlik, Southampton have contacted Trabzonspor and have invited them to a final meeting regarding the 30-year-old. It’s hoped common ground can be found and that the transfer can be finalised.
It’s been well documented the Nigerian is keen to return to the Trabzon club whilst he also looks surplus to requirements with the Saints.
Onuachu made 25 appearances last season for Trabzonspor, scoring an impressive 17 goals. He’s contracted to Southampton until June 2026.
