Celta Vigo are finalising a move for Crystal Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita and ‘everything is already agreed’ with him regarding the move.
That’s according to Faro de Vigo, who say the player is waiting for a ‘settlement’ from Crystal Palace before returning to Spain.
Guaita has been linked with a move away from Palace throughout this summer, with the 36-year-old seemingly determined to leave Selhurst Park and return to La Liga.
Indeed, he even went to the level of refusing to pay for Crystal Palace earlier this month in an attempt to force through an exit.
Celta Vigo have been linked throughout the summer, but it’s been made clear a move would only happen on their terms and if the goalkeeper was available on a free transfer.
That was followed by a report earlier this week stating Guaita was waiting to leave Crystal Palace and Faro de Vigo continue along those lines today.
They state that ‘everything is already agreed’ for him to join Celta and the Spanish club are finalising their move for him as they continue to focus on arrivals before the end of the transfer window.
All that remains for the transfer to be completed is for Guaita to ‘receive a settlement’ from Crystal Palace, after which he will return to La Liga five years after his departure.
That settlement will be in reference to the final year of his contract at Selhurst Park, which it seems both parties are working out before sanctioning his exit.
