Over the past month or so, we have covered a few articles in Italy about Bologna’s interest in Tottenham’s Alejo Véliz.

The young forward was signed by Spurs over the summer, and although he came at a time when Harry Kane was sold, he was never meant to be a direct replacement.

The 20-year-old has only made four very small performances for Tottenham since his arrival, totalling 14 minutes, and this is a situation Bologna could take advantage of, according to Corriere dello Sport.

The newspaper has an article about the fact Joshua Zirkzee is getting tired after playing almost eery minute in the Serie A, and they cannot constantly rely on him.

The backups have not exactly stepped up when called upon, and that’s why Marco Di Vaio and Giovanni Sartori are ‘working on names’ to sign a striker.

One of the names being looked at is that of Véliz, who ‘needs to play’, but they also know that the January transfer market is ‘different from the summer one’.

With the Tottenham player needing some minutes and Ange Postecoglou unable to provide them right now, perhaps this could be the ideal move for all parties.
