KV Oostende are eyeing a move for Arsenal youngster Zech Medley this summer as they eye potential replacements for Jack Hendry and Arthur Theate.

That’s according to Het Nieuwsblad, who say that Medley ‘fits the youthful profile’ that the Belgian side are looking for.

Oostende currently have Hendry and Theate at the heart of their defence, but both players futures could be elsewhere, with Hendry only on loan from Celtic and Theate linked with a move away.

Even if only one were to leave, the club would need a replacement, and that has seen them turn their attention to Arsenal youngster Medley.

He’s currently on loan from Arsenal at Kilmarnock but has only managed one appearance all season, so is unlikely to be remaining in Scotland long-term.

His future also appears to be away from the Emirates, with his deal expiring this summer and no sign of the club offering an extension as yet.

That is why he is presumably of interest to Oostende, who are ready to jump in and offer him the chance of football in Belgium should one of their current two decide to leave in the summer.
