Fenerbahçe have included Manchester United’s Victor Lindelöf in their summer target list, according to Fotomaç.
The Turkish club are working on reshaping their current squad after appointing José Mourinho as their new manager, and are expected to make four to five signings in the summer window.
The Manchester United player is the ‘first name’ on Mourinho’s list to bolster his side’s defence.
The Portuguese tactician signed the centre-back for the Red Devils in 2017 and now wants to bring him to Istanbul this summer.
Lindelöf made 20 starts in all competitions in the recently concluded season, and presumably with the hope of more prominence, he’s ‘keen on’ reuniting with his former manager at Fenerbahçe.
The Sweden international has a year left on his deal. Fotomaç say he’s valued at €15m, but the Yellow Canaries will offer €8m to Manchester United.
It’s claimed Fenerbahçe, who have a good ties with Manchester United [possibly because of Altay Bayındır’s sale last summer], are ‘expected to finalise’ Lindelöf’s transfer.
Fenerbahçe’s offer is on the way, but the report makes no mention if Manchester United are willing to accept €8m for the Swede.
As often happens, it’s possible the Turkish media are getting a little carried away.
