Ever since Mino Raiola came out and announced Paul Pogba would be leaving Manchester United sooner rather than later, Juventus have been one of the main names linked with a transfer.
That was also the case beforehand, but the agent’s outburst only helped to increase the number of articles written about the Frenchman’s return to Turin despite the Serie A champions have little to no money to spend at this moment in time.
Many have warned a move for Pogba simply wasn’t feasible from a financial point of view, despite the benefits it might bring on the pitch, but former Juventus general director Luciano Moggi is worried about another aspect of the midfielder potentially coming back.
Speaking to Radio Amore Campania, relayed by Il Bianconero, he said: “Dybala? He’ll stay, the contract will be renewed. He’s young and can stay at the club for a long time. Pogba was a great player in Turin, but memories don’t often coincide with the pitch.
“Returns are always particular. He didn’t do great things with Manchester United and Juventus sold him for big figures. [Rodrigo] De Paul, on the other hand, is one of those players I would snatch up”.
The Argentine, currently at Udinese, has long been linked with a move to a bigger club, and would likely cost a lot less than Pogba, and that’s not taking into account wages.
A fee of €40m has been demanded by the Pozzo family for their prized asset, and we all know the Manchester United midfielder’s price tag, should he be sold, will be considerably more.
