Olivier Giroud’s contract situation at Chelsea has put him on the radar of several clubs across Europe.

After regularly being linked with a move to Serie A, suitors in France are not lacking for the striker whose contract with the Blues will expire on June 30th.

According to Le10 Sport, RC Lens ‘dream’ of signing the 34-year-old in the upcoming window.

It’s claimed the Ligue 1 side are looking to bring in an experienced striker and they ‘would have a relatively large budget’ to complete such an operation.

Taking this into account, Lens made a few approaches towards signing the France international, trying to gather information about his situation and also his intentions for the future.

Given the lack of regular minutes under Thomas Tuchel, it’s ‘very unlikely’ the former Arsenal man will sign a new deal at the west London club, even if it’s offered to him.

Lens were promoted to the top division last season and are currently sixth in the table. Le10 explain it’s unlikely that Giroud would consider signing for them in the summer.

As of now, Lens ‘dream’ of taking the Chelsea player and whether or not they can convince Giroud to join them remains to be seen.
