With the English media reporting at the weekend that Everton are interested in the signing of West Ham United loanee Felipe Anderson, the Portuguese press now reacts to it.

The midfielder is currently having a spell at FC Porto, where things haven’t gone as expected, so a move to the Toffees is more surprising than shocking for the Dragons.

Newspaper A Bola confirms that Felipe Anderson’s time at Porto should have an end ‘in the coming days’, as he’s a ‘strange body’ in the squad.

They add that things didn’t work out for him due to ‘his characteristics as an athlete’ and mostly due to ‘the lack of effort shown more than once in competition’.

Felipe Anderson has only made five appearances for Porto, with no goals scored, and hasn’t even been included in match-day squad recently.

There had been big expectations when he arrived from the Hammers at the start of the season, but now, the Portuguese side don’t seem bothered in case he shows up to play for Everton next week.

His contract with West Ham expires in the summer of 2022.
