Jarrad Branthwaite has featured 13 times in all competitions for Everton since he joined them from Carlisle United in 2020.
The Toffees sent the 20-year-old on loan to PSV Eindhoven last summer so that he can continue his development. He has made 17 appearances this season, which includes eight league starts.
As a part of the agreement between the Eredivisie side and Everton, the former don’t have an option or obligation to retain the defender beyond this season.
Ruud van Nistelrooy’s side are so pleased with the centre-back’s performances that they want to buy him. This was reported by Eindhovens Dagblad journalist Rik Elfrink last Friday.
Branthwaite’s contract at the Merseyside club lasts until 2025 and PSV’s efforts to negotiate a permanent deal for him have not been fruitful so far.
PSV is er met Everton niet uitgekomen bij de pogingen om Jarrad Branthwaite definitief over te nemen. Dit blijft voor de volgende transferperiode wel nog op de agenda staan, of er moet deze dagen nog een plotwending komen.

That’s according to Rik Elfrink, who explains PSV ‘did not come to an agreement’ with Everton for the player’s sale.
Despite the disappointment, Branthwaite will ‘remain on the agenda’ of the Dutch club for the summer window, barring a new twist in the next two days.
