West Ham United are in the market looking for a new midfielder as they expect to part ways with Declan Rice in the summer window.
Juventus’ Denis Zakaria and Marseille’s Matteo Guendouzi are among the midfielders who have been linked the Hammers in recent times. Darío Osorio was also thrown into the mix as a report from the UK stated West Ham have made an offer of around €6.8m to Universidad de Chile.
Al Aire Libre have looked at this claim and also contacted the South American club for an update.
The outlet makes it clear that Universidad de Chile sources have denied receiving an offer from David Moyes’ side for the 19-year-old. It’s further claimed they believe the player will continue with them this year.
It’s to be noted that the Chile international has been mainly used on the wings rather than in the middle of the pitch this year.
West Ham aren’t the only English club to be pushed forward as a suitor to sign Osorio. Back in May, TNT Sports reported Leicester City are expected to make an offer for the player but that didn’t happen.
