Bayern Munich have ‘decided not to make an offer’ for West Ham United’s Declan Rice, believing he will move to Arsenal this summer.
That’s according to BILD, who say a “Sports Committee” at the club have made the decision to pull out of the race for the England star.
They explain that manager Thomas Tuchel attended a meeting with the club’s transfer bosses today to outline plans of this window, including Rice.
Thus, according to BILD’s information, those in charge have decided not to make an offer for the West Ham captain for the time being.
Those in charge, currently Marco Neppe, Uli Hoeneß, Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, as well as President Herbert Hainer, the new boss Jan -Christian Dreesen and CFO Michael Diederich made a decision ‘against’ battling for Rice’s signature.
They were targeting the West Ham man as part of a plan to let Joshua Kimmich play a more offensive role in the team under Tuchel but that’s not going to happen now.
Instead, the belief in Munich is that Rice is off to Arsenal, and they will have to either identify different targets or change their plans.
