In the last transfer window, West Ham United let Nikola Vlašić join Torino on loan with an option to buy.

The attacking midfielder enjoyed a good start to the season, scoring three goals from his first five league matches. Since then, he has failed to score a goal in the last seven matches.

Despite the dry run, Toro News reported last Friday the Serie A side have not changed their plans to buy the West Ham owned player.

The Croatia international registered his first assist of the season in his side’s 2-1 win over AC Milan on Sunday. Prior to this clash, Calciomercato came out with a report stating the Rossoneri made contact with his agent over signing him in the summer.

Milan considered the cost of the operation ‘too high’, which allowed Torino to take the 25-year-old on loan with a buying option set at €15m.

Vlašić plays a key role under Ivan Jurić’s orders this season, despite his failure to score a goal for close to two months. Torino, for their part, are thinking of keeping him at the club beyond his loan deal.

It’s claimed Torino are convinced they are betting on the ‘right player’ and are ‘looking for a low-figure agreement with the Hammers’.
