Kyle Walker has taken less than two weeks to convince everyone at AC Milan and will be bought on a permanent basis from Manchester City in the summer.

That’s according to to Gazzetta dello Sport, who say Walker’s ‘leadership and strength’ have convinced Milan to sign him permanently from Manchester City.

According to them, managers, coaches and fans in Milan have all been left very impressed by Walker, who arrived on loan from Manchester City towards the end of the January transfer window.

Indeed, Walker has impressed to such an extent that unless there are any ‘sensational surprises’, Milan will be turning the loan into a permanent move.

They have an option to do so in the loan deal and Manchester City will earn around €5m from the deal, which will also extend Walker’s contract by two years.

He has convinced with his performances but also the role he has quickly taken up in the dressing room.

He is no longer a captain like he was at the Etihad but has shown leadership and experience both on the pitch and off it. This was what the club were hoping for when they signed him and it has paid off, convincing everyone to sign him permanently.
