Earlier today, we’ve seen claims from Brazil saying that even though Leeds United and Chelsea have an agreement for the transfer of Raphinha, the player is still waiting for Barcelona.

Following reports from the Catalan media showing that his agent Deco has been in talks with the La Liga giants, the player’s home country’s press said he’d give an ‘ultimatum’ for the Camp Nou side to sign him.

It turns out the Italian media now joins this saga today, with journalist Gianluigi Longari claiming Barcelona are actually ‘convinced’ they can ‘hijack’ the transfer for the Leeds United star.

It’s indeed said Raphinha gave Barça time so the Catalan side would ‘introduce the final proposal’ to the Elland Road side, with the bid expected to be of €60m plus €10m in bonuses.

Since the Brazilian media claimed Chelsea’s deal for the signing was of between £50m and £55m (€58m and €64m), perhaps the offer from Barcelona will be good enough for Leeds to accept and finally give Raphinha the chance of fulfilling his dream.
