It feels like ever since it was revealed that Inter could sell Denzel Dumfries in the summer, Emerson Royal has been linked with a move to the Serie A side.
After all, the arrival of Pedro Porro at Tottenham has done little to dispel the idea that Antonio Conte isn’t overly convinced with the Brazilian, who has been the starter by default until very recently.
The Spaniard’s expensive transfer should see him start going forward, and that opens the door for Inter to get his Spurs teammate going forward.
He isn’t the number one choice, however, as Tuttosport, relayed by Sport Italia, state that Inter prefer Tajon Buchanan, currently at Club Brugge, instead, and they even sent a scout to watch him play against Benfica.
Still, if they can’t get anything done for the Canada international, he is ‘not the only way forward’ for them.
That’s because they have other ‘appreciated profiles’ for when they sell Denzel Dumfries, which is a list that includes the Tottenham defender.
The others are Lazio’s Manuel Lazzarri and Wilfried Singo from Turin, who has also been linked with a move to Spurs prior to the Porro deal.
Since joining Tottenham from Barcelona, Emerson Royal has made 68 appearances for the Premier League side, scoring two goals and picking up two assists.
