As Lazio continue with their chase for Tottenham Hotspur goalkeeper Hugo Lloris, French journalist Ignazio Genuardi now brings the latest on this pursuit.
On Twitter, the reporter writes that the Serie A side are ‘pushing’ the negotiations with the Spurs goalkeeper.
It was thought Lazio would have some difficulties to take Lloris out of Tottenham, especially because of the salary he has in London.
However, according to Genuardi, the Frenchman has now lowered his demands, and would take a three-year contract, making €2m net per year.
Lazio are still negotiating that, and are ‘unlikely to go any higher’, especially because Lloris isn’t the only option they have.
The 36-year-old is expected to sit on the bench for the Serie A side, and as written by Gazzetta Dello Sport on Thursday, that could even be a problem, as manager Maurizio Sarri believes that could increase pressure on their first goalkeeper Ivan Provedel.
Still, club president Claudio Lotito believes it’s great to get such an experienced player in the squad, and is set to continue to negotiate for his arrival.
