Back in February, we covered claims from Italy explaining that AC Milan have set their sights on Chelsea’s Carney Chukwuemeka.
Fast forward to June and journalist Gianluca Di Marzio now brings the latest on the Serie A side’s pursuit of the 20-year-old.
Chukwuemeka’s deal lasts until 2028, but Milan are looking to bring him to the San Siro this summer. They have already started working on a deal and it seems like the Rossoneri’s plan is to sign the England U20 international on a loan deal.
According to Di Marzio, the Blues are not willing to let him leave on a temporary deal with an option to buy. The Italian club are trying to soften their stance by making it loan offer with a conditional obligation, linked to a certain number of appearances next season.
Milan ‘continue negotiations’ with the Premier League side for the Englishman. A move away from Chelsea could see Chukwuemeka enjoy regular game time, which wasn’t made available to him in London.
The midfielder has made 27 appearances for Chelsea since arriving at Stamford Bridge in August 2022, of which 12 of them were from last season.
