On Tuesday, it was announced that Como in Serie B had joined the race to try and sign Rocco Vata from Celtic.
This came after Bologna, who are still very much interested in the young midfielder, kicked it all off, dragging some other Italian teams with them into forming a long queue for the 19-year-old.
Gianluca Di Marzio is the one bringing the latest on Como’s chase of the Celtic player, who appears as if he will need to make a decision sooner or later on his future.
Having made a handful of appearances for Celtic under Ange Postecoglou, the youngster hasn’t managed to convince Brendan Rodgers quite as much, which is why there is talk of him leaving.
There appears to be no contract renewal on the horizon for him at Parkhead either, which has led to all this talk of an exit for a player many had high opinions of in Glasgow.
Gianluca Di Marzio explains that Como and Celtic ‘continue to negotiate’ for the player’s transfer, suggesting there will be some sort of transfer fee involved if this goes through six months before the end of his contract.
