Manchester City’s Bernardo Silva is back again on Barcelona’s agenda after they failed to sign him last summer.
AS on Tuesday state the La Liga side have made a new attempt to bring the 28-year-old to the Camp Nou.
The Manchester City star has been an ‘old dream’ of Barca president Joan Laporta and he has tried to fulfil his wish in the winter market.
It’s claimed the Blaugrana ‘tried to sign’ the player on loan with an option to buy and this was relayed to AS by sources close to the player. He ‘wants to join’ them and has tried it again in January.
This has seen the Catalan club contact Manchester City in the ‘last few hours’ to try to reach an agreement. However, Pep Guardiola’s side have not contemplated losing the Portugal international on deadline day.
AS explain the possibility of the deal taking shape is remote because of Manchester City’s firm stance not to let Silva leave.
Silva’s desire to join Barcelona is unlikely to be fulfilled in January.
