Dutch side FC Eindhoven are in talks with Manchester City to bring midfielder Iker Pozo back to the club this month.
That’s according to Eindhoven Dagblad, who state they have ‘made contact’ with Manchester City and are ‘confident’ they can get a deal done.
The newspaper explains that Eindhoven are keen to bring Pozo back to the club after he spent last season on loan with them.
Pozo made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Dutch side during a season-long loan spell last season but returned to the Etihad in the summer when that came to an end.
He’s currently a part of Manchester City’s Premier League 2 side but has only made three appearances all season and hasn’t been in the squad for any of their last four games.
Reports in England have claimed that Eindhoven would like the midfielder back, and ED confirm that stating the ‘technical management’ at the club have told them that they ‘would indeed like’ for the player to return.
The club were ‘very satisfied’ with his first year at the club and ‘did everything possible’ to keep him, but Pozo elected to return to England as there was interest from Spain at the time.
A move never came off, and he’s barely featured so far, so Eindhoven have made their move and ‘there is contact’ with both Manchester City and the player.
There is ‘no question’ of an agreement as yet, but the Dutch side want it to happen, and there is confidence in the Netherlands that they can get a move over the line.
