With Saudi Arabia coming strong for the summer transfer window, here’s another Chelsea player who could be heading there.
According to Foot Mercato, Al Hilal want to buy Kalidou Koulibaly from the Blues.
With not many details on this chase, the report only claims that the Saudi side, who’d been keen on Lionel Messi, now look for a defender and have the Chelsea centre-back as a target.
Following his €38m move from Napoli last summer, Koulibaly made 32 appearances for Chelsea this season. And despite being a regular starter, didn’t really live up to expectations at Stamford Bridge.
That’s why he’s now being heavily linked with a move out of the Blues, especially by the Italian media, who are claiming he’s a target for the likes of Inter Milan and Juventus this summer
Koulibaly isn’t the only Chelsea player who could leave for Saudi Arabia this summer. It’s been reported that N’Golo Kante is also targeted by local clubs, and on Friday the French media pointed out that the midfielder is currently in Paris wondering if he’ll make that move.
