With a terrific start to his Torino loan, West Ham United’s Nikola Vlasic could end up switching clubs permanently come the end of the season.

The Croatian, who found game time difficult to come by under David Moyes, sought a new option over the summer, and, with compatriot Ivan Juric in charge of the Serie A side, found comfort in the welcoming embrace of the Turin-based club.

This immediately showed on the pitch, where he has scored three goals in his first seven league games, including an important winner against Lecce.

His form has made Torino think about the future, as they have a €15m purchase clause in the deal with West Ham, which they are now considering to trigger sooner rather than later.

That’s according to Calciomercato, who explain that Vlasic’s ‘excellent start to the season’ has caused Torino’s president, Urbano Cairo, ‘to consider the possibility of an early redemption of the player’.

Described as a ‘staple of Ivan Juric’s team’, it’s clear how important he has become over there, which will please West Ham, as this is exactly what they will have hoped for when they agreed to the loan in the first place.
