Since Chelsea decided to pay Brighton & Hove Albion a fair chunk of money to replace Thomas Tuchel with Graham Potter, the Seagulls have been manageress.
An caretaker has been appointed in the meantime in Andrew Crofts, but the 38-year-old is unlikely to be the long-term solution, meaning the Seagulls are looking around for the right man.
Many names have appeared, with the latest being Mainz 05’s Bo Svensson, who currently has his club in sixth in the Bundesliga after six games.
The Dane has already said that he doesn’t particularly want to leave the German club, already making a dent in whatever plans Brighton might have, but the Premier League side have also been warned off by the club’s director of football.
Bild have a quote from the German chief, who ‘makes it clear’ Svensson is not available, as he stated: “Brighton can put their gunsight in the drawer.”
It’s clear it would take a lot for Brighton to get their man here, so they might be better off trying somewhere else to bring a new manager to the Amex.
