As the Argentine media continues to be hopeful of Edinson Cavani’s arrival at Boca Juniors, many moves made by the Buenos Aires side are seen as part of the plan to land the Manchester United striker.

A story from Infobae today claims that with Colombian midfielder Jorman Campuzano getting the Argentine citizenship, that’s a chance for the club to have a place for a new foreigner.

The outlet says Boca Juniors are the favourites to sign Cavani, especially with the player recently admitting that he’d been in touch with the club.

They say the Xeneize ‘dream’ of the 33-year-old’s arrival, with president Juan Roman Riquelme keeping ‘direct contact’ with the striker throughout this entire process.

It’s quite clear we’ll continue seeing rumours on the future of Cavani until he announces a decision on his future himself.

The Uruguayan star has a contract with Manchester United until the end of the season, but could renew the agreement by an extra year by triggering the option in the deal.
