CSKA Moscow president Yevgeny Giner has spoken to the Russian press about Everton’s Nikola Vlasic and revealed they’d be interested in keeping him at the club.
The Croatian attacking midfielder is currently on loan with the Russian club from the Toffees.
Giner was speaking on TV Show Football of Russia, as covered by Championat, and was asked about the player: “It’s certainly not a matter if Vlasic’s value grows or decreases after every successful match. We are happy with his performances. We talked with Everton previously over a loan deal and the redemption clause. But we don’t have a clause.”
He added “I don’t know whether they will agree to sell or not, but truth is we haven’t talked about this matter yet. But it would be interesting for us, and Vlasic, to continue this operation.”
After failing to make his mark at Everton last season, the attacker moved to CSKA Moscow on loan. This season Vlasic has been in impressive for the club, scoring 5 goals in 16 appearances in all competitions.
We recently covered a claim Vlasic wants to leave Everton but rather than remain at CSKA Moscow he’d prefer a move to Serie A or La Liga.
According to the Italian media, AC Milan and Inter Milan are interested in the Everton owned player, with claims contact has been initiated.
