If one has to draw conclusion from comments made by José Mourinho on Christian Eriksen, the playmaker is unlikely to continue at Tottenham Hotspur beyond this season.

The 27-year-old’s current deal with Spurs expires in 2020 and various reports have indicated he has no plans to sign an extension.

Having failed to leave the north London club in the last window, the Denmark international still manages to draw attention from the likes of Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and Real Madrid.

Regarding the Serie A winners, Il BiancoNero explains the Old Lady have been following the former Ajax man for ‘some time’.

The Turin club are sniffing around to see if there’s a possibility of signing Eriksen on a free transfer next summer.

Juve chief Football officer Fabio Paratici is ‘already at work’ to sign him after this season and the Italian champions’ chief is waiting ‘with open arms’ to recruit another free agent.

However, Juve may face competition from Real Madrid, who could try to close the deal for him in January. Manchester United are also looking at Eriksen as a potential replacement for Paul Pogba.
