Zvezdan Terzić, general manager of Red Star Belgrade, has admitted he would be interested in bringing Crystal Palace midfielder Luka Milivojevic back to the club.
The Red Star chief has been speaking to Kurir about the upcoming summer transfer window, which the newspaper stats will be a ‘stormy’ one for the club.
They need to bring in a ‘large number’ of players ahead of them playing in the Champions League next season.
That has seen them linked with a number of players already and one of those is Crystal Palace’s Milivojevic, who played for them earlier in his career before moving to Anderlecht in 2013.
The 32-year-old is out of contract at Selhurst Park this summer and looks likely to be bring his six year stay with the club to an end, with no talks over a contract extension at this point.
A return to his former club could be an attractive one at this point in his career and Terzić has hinted that talks may have already happened with the Crystal Palace man.
“All those players that were mentioned are all interesting to Red Star. Everyone!” he said.
“Most of them are Zvezda’s children, former Zvezda players, aware of the weight of the Zvezda jersey. But we have to be aware that we cannot bring many players, that is, all of them.
“I’ll tell you. We are in negotiations with some of them. We need another solid and aggressive rear midfielder, a real “six”.
“We need another point guard; we’ll see for the back positions as well. Then, one player behind the striker, quality. We will certainly have five new players compared to this team.”
