The Italian media have been quite cocky on behalf of AC Milan when it comes to Emerson Royal. Their stance has been that the player really wants the move, and the Rossoneri can secure a decent fee with Tottenham any time they want this summer.
Perhaps in an effort to push things along, Emerson went public over the weekend to say that he’s flattered Milan are interested and made it clear he’d be up for the move.
Unfortunately for the Tottenham player, it may not have had the desired impact. Gazzetta dello Sport report that whilst there’s genuine interest, Milan have other options and haven’t decided which one to go for yet.
Should it be Emerson they choose, then there’s a belief a deal can be reached which Spurs relatively easily. The Italian newspaper states Tottenham want €20m, but Milan would like to pay less and there’s a feeling that around €18m would do it.
Again though, that’s only if they decide in Emerson’s favour. If they dump the idea and walk away then the player may regret getting so attached to the idea of the move.
