On March 13th, we covered claims from Spain which stated Bryan Gil isn’t happy with his limited game time at Tottenham Hotspur, and believes he ‘deserves more’ under Ange Postecoglou.
Later that month, Estadio Deportivo said the winger’s future is uncertain, and his situation at Spurs has ‘got worse’ after rejecting opportunities to leave the north London club in the winter market.
The Spain international hasn’t made an appearance for Tottenham for over two months.
According to Vamos Mi Sevilla FC, Sevilla could be an option for the Tottenham player in the summer.
The 23-year-old came up through the ranks of the La Liga side’s youth system and made his way into their first team in 2019, two years before they sold him to the English club.
The Andalusian club plan to sign young players who could be available for an affordable price in the next window, and these conditions are met by Bryan Gil and Ansu Fati, who’s currently on loan at Brighton & Hove Albion from Barcelona.
Sevilla sporting director Víctor Orta has their names on the table for the summer window.
It’s claimed Tottenham have already written off their investment in Gil, which feels unlikely. His deal lasts until 2026 and the report states Postecoglou’s side ‘would be willing to let him go’ for €6m.
Vamos Mi Sevilla FC say this is a ‘very reasonable price’ for Gil, who has already excelled at Sevilla.
In reality, that price seems like wishful thinking for Sevilla and Tottenham will surely push for more in the summer.
